Starting point: Faro Airport
Airport -> A22 Motorway
- Exit Faro airport onto the main road alongside the airport roundabout (with statues looking to the sky), follow the signs for Faro and A22.
- Continue along this road for approximately 2,5km
- Take the second exit on the right, signposted A22 Lisbon and Portimão. This slip road will bring you onto a busy dual carriageway.
- Keep following this and after a few minutes get into the left lane to take the IP1 signposted "Espanha-Lisboa".
- After approximately 1.5km take the slip road signposted Portimão. Do NOT take the turning before signposted Espanha.
A22 Motorway -> Lagos
- You are now on the motorway A22
- Continue westwards on the A22 highway for approximately 65kms and leave at the exit number 1 for Lagos, signposted "Vila do Bispo/ Sagres/ Lagos". (Please note: Do not exit on the first Lagos exit number 2 signposted "Lagos Este", but the following one).
- Drive straight ahead over the 1st. roundabout, following the sign saying "Lagos/ Vila do Bispo/ Sagres".
- On the second roundabout turn to the left, following the sign saying Lagos
- Drive straight ahead over the next round about.
- After it, you will see a Supermarket called Intermarché on the right hand side.
- At the traffic lights turn to the right and drive straight ahead 900 meters you will find Vilabranca in front of you.
